This scoring system automatically adjusts the value of a mob based on how many guilds have defeated it. This reflects the relative difficulty and progression status of the encounter. The fewer kills recorded, the more the encounter is worth.
Every time another guild defeats a mob, the value awarded for that encounter decreases as the mob becomes more trivial. A minimum value is always preserved so that all kills still award points.
Once an encounter becomes trivialized, guilds that defeated it before trivialization retain a small permanent bonus.
Encounters are considered trivialized once 40% of ranked guilds have defeated the mob.
40% of 262 guilds equals approximately 105 guilds.
This means the first 105 guilds can receive bonus points before the encounter becomes trivialized.
BASE_VALUE + (10 × (N - 1)) + (N - 1)
Where:
50 + (10 × (105 - 1)) + (105 - 1) = 1194
Therefore, the maximum value of this encounter is:
1194 points
Guilds defeating the mob within the first 36 hours receive maximum value and are effectively treated as tied.
Guild 1: 1194
Guild 2: 1194
Once the 36-hour window expires, the score begins decreasing based on kill order.
Guild 1: 1184
Guild 2: 1184
Guild 3: 1183
Once the encounter becomes trivialized, the score falls back near the base value while preserving small bonuses for earlier kills.
Guild 1: 60.5
Guild 2: 60.5
Guild 3: 60.4
...
Guild 105: 50.2
Guild 106: 50.1
Guild 107: 50.0
The top guilds that defeated the encounter before trivialization retain a small permanent bonus.
In this example:
The trivialization threshold may shift slightly depending on how many guilds achieved the kill within the initial 36-hour first-kill window.
