If you have been following the PlanetSide 2 Twitter & Facebook, you have certainly noticed we’ve been posting quite a bit about two events this week! First, we have the PlanetSide 2: Show Your Allegiance (https://www.facebook.com/events/157008677768483/) event on Thursday, July 12. Second, we have the PlanetSide Command Center Community Day (https://www.facebook.com/events/457233094295915/) on Friday, July 13! I’d love to tell you a bit more about both events and I hope you can join us!
PlanetSide 2: Show Your Allegiance!
We’re taking over Floyd’s 99 Barbershop (http://www.floydsbarbershop.com/Shops.aspx?LocationID=127) for our beta kick off event! This may seem a bit odd for something as important as beta, and you’re right! The PlanetSide community has been around a long time and we’ve developed some great relationships. Part of the relationship is the great amount of teasing we take from our community.
With this in mind, we’ve picked one of our favorites…the meme of Creative Directory Matt Higby’s promise to not cut his hair until beta was to be announced. You can see many nods to this on our own social media channels and our fansites, like with the Twitter account for Higby’s Hair (https://twitter.com/higbyshair) (who is not too pleased about our event).

We decided to book Floyd’s Barbershop and make sure he got it all chopped off! We hope you will join us for this momentous occasion! Here are the Details!

PlanetSide Command Center Community Day
*The SOE Team is hosting an open house at the SOE San Diego Campus to support PlanetSide Command Center Community Day! You can come directly to our offices to play PlanetSide 2, talk to the Planetside 2 Development Team, and walk away with some prizes! Not only will be giving Beta Key cards and dog tags to everyone who plays, but we’ll have free pizza and THREE chances to win the special Empire-themed t-shirts and shoes pictured!

If you are here for Comic-Con, you can take the bus from downtown San Diego: Take the 41 bus from the Fashion Valley Transit Center to the UTC Transit Center. You can take the 31 bus to Miramar & Camino Santa Fe. Walk north to the first light, which is Carroll Rd. We’re on the corner of Camino Santa Fe and Carroll. Our staff will be directing traffic to the proper building. Otherwise, drive on over, we have plenty of parking just for you!
