The SOE Community Team has been going out to Atlanta for Dragon*Con since 2007; that first time we had no idea what we were in for, none of us had ever experienced something so epic, maybe with the exception of being inside one of our games.
This year we kicked off the event by hosting the SOE Meet and Greet!* We had a room of SOE fans asking questions about their favorite games.* Ashlanne moderated while Piestro, RadarX, and Amnerys answered questions.* If they couldn’t answer a question they took it down so it could be addressed later by the Development Teams.

On Saturday night, we partied with the MMORPG Track and the Brit Track at the Heroes and Villains Ball.* Did you know Piestro can dance?* Every table was covered in SOE giveaways, and we danced the night away until 2:00 AM.* It was great to hang out with the folks from our games, the Guild and Grant Imahara from Myth Busters.

On Sunday we attended the first ever Dragon Slayer awards hosted by Guild Launch.* This was a great way to allow the community to honor the people in the industry that give back to their players.* If you are interested in who won, the results have been posted here (http://www.guildlaunch.com/blog/index.php/2012/09/guild-launch-presents-inaugural-dragon-slayer-awards/).
Sunday evening your SOE Community Team watched the Masquerade Costume Contest.* The contest was great!* Amnerys and Ashlanne got some great ideas to use for SOE Live, which is coming soon!* If you’d like to check out the results of the Masquerade, check it out (http://dailydragon.dragoncon.org/contests-awards/masquarade-winners/).* Ashlanne’s personal favorite was “My little Pony” themed dresses.
On Monday morning RadarX was on the Reaching Fans panel with Chris Priestly of Bioware, Natalie Brickell from Epic Games, and Stephen Reid of Gazillion Entertainment.* They answered questions about Community Management.* On Monday afternoon Piestro was on the “Community Relations – Dealing with Gamers for Fun and Profit,” with Mr. Reid.* This panel was on the principles of community management. They also discussed how to become a community manager.
