Launch day activity started well before the servers opened, with discussions about Veil of Alaris on*Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/EverQuestLive),*Twitter (http://twitter.com/#!/everquest), and the*Official EverQuest Forums (http://forums.station.sony.com/eq/forums/list.m). We posted*pictures of a few members of the Dev Team (http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150371758051363.350415.10703556362&type=1)*on Facebook, as well as some*concept art and screenshots (http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150371737426363.350413.10703556362&type=1). On the Forums, we discussed your*last minute questions (http://forums.station.sony.com/eq/posts/list.m?topic_id=181109)*regarding the expansion. We also hosted a Q&A chat on*Twitter (http://twitter.com/#!/everquest)with Community Manager Eric “Piestro” Cleaver and Lead Designer Adam “Ngreth” Bell – people asked questions about anything and everything involving EverQuest and the expansion!

As soon as the servers came up players rushed in to return to the lands of Norrath. We were interested to learn that instead of piling right into Alaris, every player had their own particular agenda – the variety of paths followed by players was surprising. While many people chose to explore the new expansion content as expected, others stayed in more familiar hunting grounds to gain a bit of experience or to help friends!

As the sun set on November 15th many new achievements had been earned and much new ground was explored in Norrath. The Dev team spent lots of time reading your impressions and feedback and finally wound down after this particularly exciting day in the history of EverQuest.

There’s never a dull moment in Norrath, and we can’t wait to see what the coming weeks will bring as players continue to explore and experience everything in*EverQuest: Veil of Alaris (http://everquest.com/veil-of-alaris/)!
